SUMMARY:My Field for Dummies - Bat Niches
DESCRIPTION:Come join Dr. Phillip J. Oelbaum for his talk entitled “Niche Interests: Understanding Ecological Niches of Bats”! Dr. Oelbaum is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at York University in Toronto\, Canada. His research uses isotopes to study trophic positions of bats in a community context with a focus on tropical species\, what they eat\, and how they interact with each other and their environment. The talk will be available FREE via Zoom on 05 November 2025 at 9 AM Eastern US Time\, and will be made available for viewing afterwards on the GBatNet YouTube channel. The talk is appropriate for all levels of expertise\, including those who are new to the field and want to learn more about how they may plug into this type of research.
